For the best success, it is recommended that you have taken Level 2 Music in the previous year. However, students who have demonstrated a passion for performing arts within or outside the school are also welcome to take this course.

What will I learn?
Music at Level 3 will further explore the two different areas, Making Music and Music Studies. At Ormiston Senior College students will be able to personalise their course choosing the learning which interests them.
There will opportunities to
Perform as a soloist and a member of a group
Compose music
Arrange music
Research musical topics and contexts
Further refine score reading skills.

How will this course be assessed?
Students design an assessment outline which must consist of between 14-18 credits. Anything falling outside this will need TIC and LA approval. There are written assessments, computer based projects and portfolio type assessment conditions depending on what the student chooses.
