Level 3 Music

What should I have already achieved?

For the best success, it is recommended that you have taken Level 2 Music in the previous year. However, students who have demonstrated a passion for performing arts within or outside the school are also welcome to take this course.

What will I learn?

Music at Level 3 will further explore the two different areas, Making Music and Music Studies. At Ormiston Senior College students will be able to personalise their course choosing the learning which interests them.

How will this course be assessed?

Students design an assessment outline which must consist of at least 18 credits. Anything falling outside this will need TIC and LA approval. There are written assessments, computer based projects and portfolio type assessment conditions depending on what the student chooses. 

Will there be any FAO?  (Further Assessment Opportunities)

There will be Further Assessment Opportunities for some standards as indicated above. Students who wish to sit an FAO for an assessment will be notified of the date and time by the TIC. There are resubmission opportunities, no resit opportunities.
