Accounting enables students to develop the knowledge and skills to manage the financial affairs of individuals, communities, and businesses. It equips students with the essential skills of modern money management, enabling them to cope with their chosen career pathway in the future.
Students will also be able to utilise appropriate communication tools and skills to process, report, and interpret financial information for individuals, whānau, and local small entities.
EXTRA OPPORTUNITY - For those who are interested and have shown a good understanding of the subject, there is an opportunity to be entered for L2 Accounting external standard 2.1. This will empower them with the fundamental concepts of Accounting and equip them for a possible Scholarship in later years.
Each Semester, you will learn about:

How to process Accounting information
How to calculate profit or loss for a business.
How to determine the financial position of a business at any given point in time.
How to prepare a budget (3 Credits L2)
