Painting

What will I learn?

Studying Painting will enable you to develop painting knowledge and skills within a number of small projects throughout the semester. You will learn key observational drawing skills using media such as pencil, pen, charcoal, watercolour and acrylic paint whilst also developing your colour theory knowledge and painting techniques. As part of the learning process, you will research, analyse, critique and interpret how established artists construct and communicate meaning within their work. You will then work on ways to emulate these processes in your own work.

Where would this course lead to?

This course leads to Level 2 and 3 Painting, then onto further study for a wide range of careers: Animator, Artist, Architect, Art Therapist, Interior Designer, Illustrator, Art Director, Art Educator, Art Restorer, etc.
