Accounting Level 3

What should I have already achieved? 

Ideally, students studying Level 3 Accounting should have studied Accounting at Level 1 and/or 2. Accounting can be studied at tertiary level and it is a key part of any business-related degree.

What will I learn?

Students who study Accounting at Level 3 learn the basics of  Partnership Accounting, learn how to construct the Financial Statements for Companies,Interpret Financial Statements in order to make investment decisions and applying management accounting elements to inform decision-making, based on financial and non-financial information.


Studying Accounting will give you a skill that can be used anywhere in the world. Your career options include being a chartered accountant, company accountant, tax accountant, management accountant, accounting technician, accounts clerk, financial adviser, financial analyst, investment analyst, business adviser, business consultant, share-broker, currency trader, business owner.

How will this course be assessed?

Learning in Accounting will be assessed through both internal and external achievement standards. The focus is on learning the skills that are needed to accurately process financial information, prepare financial statements and provide financial advice for investment purposes.

Will there be resubmissions?

Resubmissions will only be allowed that take a student from a Not Achieved to an Achieved grade.
