What will I learn?

This course is about using visual techniques to convey a series of ideas from an identified problem to solution. The course starts with a focus on spatial design, where you will learn and implement skills such as; Brief creation, sketching and rendering techniques, functional and aesthetic development and refinement, 3D digital and physical model making (using 3D printer and laser cutter).

You will be working with authentic contexts; further enabling you to analyse spatial design knowledge involved in designing a spatial design. 

This course leads to Level 2 Design and Visual Communication with a further focus on spatial design.


What will I learn?

You will experience, explore, and stimulate new initiatives in Food product design, development, and manufacturing. 

You will be inspired by the creative work of Food product innovators in the areas of nutrition, enterprise, food safety and production. 

You will explore how our changing eating habits, food trends, and consumerism influence the development of new food products. 

Practical skills, product trials and the manufacture of final Food products are a major part of what you will experience in this course.


What will I learn?

The future is changing faster than any time in our history. Design thinking is required to solve the problems we face in a new way.

In this course, you will make a positive impact by developing a product design for your community.

You will gain skills in sketching, oral presentation, hands-on model making, problem-solving, and have the opportunity to present your final design using a range of mediums such as 3D printing and laser cutting.
