What will I learn?

Studying Design enables students to develop knowledge and understanding of design processes, and to learn to solve design problems. Students will explore a range of logo creation styles influenced by established practice, design a final logo design and animate it in response to a design topic. As part of the learning process, students will learn and become confident with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.

What will I learn?

Studying Painting will enable you to develop painting knowledge and skills within a chosen theme you choose yourself. You will explore both traditional and digital methods of painting and extend skills in a range of materials, techniques and technologies. You will learn and become confident with using the Wacom Tablet, Adobe Photoshop and traditional methods such as charcoal drawing, watercolour and acrylic painting. As part of the learning process, you will research, analyse, critique and interpret how artworks are constructed and presented from established practices to communicate meanings within your own works.

What will I learn?

Studying Photography will enable students to develop both analogue and digital photographic knowledge and skills. Students will learn to operate both film and digital cameras, process their own black and white film, print their own images in the darkroom and develop their work in Adobe Photoshop. Students are entrusted with equipment and resources and therefore a high level of personal responsibility and commitment is required. Students will learn to research and explore ideas, develop critical and creative thinking skills and understand their own work and the work of established practices.
