Level 2 Financial Literacy

What should I have already achieved?

This is open entry course, subject to entry by Curriculum Leader Social Science.

Note - A subject endorsement is not possible in Financial Literacy. Credits gained count towards NCEA Level 2.

What will I learn?

The aim of this course is to introduce students to some of the practical skills and knowledge they will require when they enter the workforce and become financially independent.

How will this course be assessed?

All Unit Standards are internally assessed. Assessments are on- going and will take place during class time as and when the students are ready to complete each task. Standards marked with an asterisk (*) can only be awarded an 'Achieved' or 'Not Achieved' grade. All other standards can be awarded 'Achieved', 'Merit', or 'Excellence'.  Students must follow the assessment criteria for each standard. These criteria may change between standards. At all times, students are expected to hand in their own. original work.

Will there be any FAO?  (Further Assessment Opportunities)

Due the length and nature of all the assessments no FAO are possible. Students will be allowed re-submissions to correct minor errors.
