What will I learn?

This course provides an introduction to building within the workshop environment. While constructing two pieces of Garden furniture students will learn how to follow workshop safety rules, how to use tools and equipment in woodworking and the construction process. This is a course for anyone passionate about learning fundamental skills in woodwork, tools and equipment and industrial standards. You will complete a series of unit standards, which include both theory and practical work. The units cover areas such as safety, correct use of tools, and hands on building. If you are looking for an opportunity to get into the building and construction industries, this is the course for you.
