What should I have already achieved?

Minimum 12 credits in Level 2 Industrial Design

What will I learn?

You will learn a range of skills to encourage innovative thinking and to enable you to express your creative ideas. The course will be centred around a brief that will push you to expand your understanding of design through experimentation and reflection.

How will this course be assessed?

The course will be constructed around the needs of each learner. There are up to 20 credits available in this course. Work will be assessed through written, visual and oral portfolios. The external standard is developed during the year and will be submitted to NZQA in Term 4.

Will there be any FAO? (Further Assessment Opportunities)

Due to the nature of the course FAOs will not be available. Students will be offered formative assessment to help them reach the standard required for Level 3.

What are the course costs?

$60 to cover materials and consumables.

Additional $10 for Adobe software licence recommended.
