Ideally 12 credits in Level Two Food Technology
A work ethic and sufficient time management skills to complete a large portfolio over of work over a number of terms.
You will learn a range of skills to encourage innovative thinking and to enable you to express your creative ideas. The course will be centred around a brief that will push you to expand your understanding of design through experimentation and reflection. This course is based on the Technology curriculum and at this level requires students to investigate and develop a prototype considering fitness for purpose in the broadest sense. Students will work on one major project, developing and testing a design first before producing and implementing the final product. A portfolio documenting the research and development process is an integral part of the assessment.
This course will leads onto further study for a wide range of careers; Architecture, Drafter, Landscape designer, and various Engineering pathways.
