What should I have already achieved?
You should have a developing knowledge of geography. 
What will I learn?
In Level 2 Geography you will learn about our changing world. Your developing knowledge of geographic concepts will be applied to the study of the growth of Auckland, inequalities in our world and the development of large natural landscapes. Some case studies to be developed may include urban patterns, urban growth, research, differences in development, fluvial systems and the study of a large natural environment like the Amazon.

Geography also involves learning outside of the classroom with 1 or 2 field trips occurring per year.

How will this course be assessed?
This course will be assessed using a combination of 3 internal assessments completed during the year and 2 external assessments. Assessments will require you to demonstrate your understanding of geographic concepts in relation to case studies using graphs, maps, diagrams and written paragraph answers. This course offers 19 credits.

Are there any Pre-requisite for Level 3 are:
Achievement of 12 credits or more in Level 1 NCEA English. Geography requires a high level of English writing and reading skills.
