What should I have already achieved?
It will help if you
have some knowledge of anatomy and physiology. However there are no prerequisites for this course, just be willing to
learn in these areas.
What will I learn?
In Physical Education
students will learn about the important processes groups go through to function as a working unit by trying to get their group through the 'Quality performance' standard that involves training and preparing for the performance. Then students will review the implementation and outcomes of this process. In term three students will learn about the function of the body and how it relates to moving
effectively when performing a sports skill . Students also have the option if they choose to reflect on their level of Social responsibility in relation to Hellison's model through these activities through out the year.
How will this course be assessed?
All standards in
Physical Education are internally assessed.

There will be one FAO in the course worth 4 credits. The time taken to complete the practical aspect of the course makes it impossible to offer more in the others

13 Physical Education?
At least 11 credits at NCEA Level 2 Physical
