What should I have already achieved?Entry Requirement: Automatic - Minimum 12 credits in Level 1 DVC/TEM course. OR TIC approval. What will I learn?Industrial Design is a hybrid course combining Technology and Graphics.You will learn a range of skills to encourage innovative thinking and to enable you to express your creative ideas. The course will be developed using a series of briefs that will push you to expand your understanding of design through experimentation and reflection. How will this course be assessed?It is recommended that you will submit work totalling 14-18 credits. Work will be developed using a portfolio throughout the year. The external standards are also developed during the year and will be submitted to NZQA in Term 4.Will there be any FAO? (Further Assessment Opportunities)Due to the nature of the course FAO will not be available. Students will be offered formative assessment to help them reach the level required for Level 2.Are there any Pre-requisite for Level 3?12 credits in Level 2 Industrial Design including 1 external paper, or by the discretion of the teacher in charge of Technology, in consultation with the LA.
