BUS1 Course Outline 2018 Level 1 Year Planner The following achievement standards will be offered to students completing Level 1 Business Studies. Please note that in Term 1 , Week 8 you will participate in Oceania Week to experience a market day and to raise capital to develop your "actual" business product to be sold during Market Day in Term 2. Products not permitted to be sold at Level 1 in Term 2 include food and beverages. Further details on Oceania Evening and Market day and field trips will be advised in class.
No Numeracy credits in Level 1 Business Studies What will I learn?Business Studies explores the skills, knowledge and understanding needed in order to be involved inthat meets the needs of customers, but there are a lot of skills needed to be successful in business. These skills include
Students who study Business Studies will learn how to be enterprising through practice. Every student will be involved in running their own business and selling a product or service to customers. In addition to the practical experience students will investigate actual New Zealand business to try to understand what they have to do to be successful. How will this course be assessed?
