What should I have already achieved?

Satisfactory achievement in Year 10.

What will I learn?

This course provides a progression from Year 10 Technology but with a year long focus on food product development, Food packaging and Food safety. Students will apply technology process to the investigation of an issue and development of products to meet needs or opportunities, which they identify. Practical skills, product trials and the manufacture of final products form a major component of this course.

How will this course be assessed?

This course is assessed by Technology & Home Economics Achievement Standards. The course offers 22 credits.

Students will be required to present a portfolio documenting their process and providing evidence of their learning. Both practical product and portfolio contribute to assessment, neither stands alone.

Students have the option to chose between the two externals: #

AS90961

or #

AS91048

.

Will there be any FAO?  (Further Assessment Opportunities)
