What should I have already achieved? 
A passion for digital media design and programming.

What will I learn? 
This course focuses on students developing skills and knowledge within the areas of digital media, computer programming and computer science. Students work through a design process including: research, design and problem solving, integration of digital media and information, testing, evaluation and production. You will be given the opportunity to learn image manipulation, animation, web design and development, computer programming and the basic concepts of user interfaces. Success in this course qualifies students for entry into Level 2 courses Computer Science and Design.

How will this course be assessed? 
A maximum of 24 credits are offered in this course with 5 internal standards and 1 external standard (report)

Will there be any FAO? (Further Assessment Opportunities) 
There will be no FAO in this course

Are there any Pre-requisites for Level 2
Computer Science - Achieved or better in internals AS910..(1.4) and AS910..(1.7) and external AS910..( 1.10). Exemptions from these prerequisites will be made for those with passion and involvement in programming.
Visual Arts Design - Achieved or better in internals AS90917, AS910..(1.2) and AS910..(1.10)
