What should I have already achieved?
Preferably have taken Year 10 Art and a passion for the subject.

What will I learn?
This course will enable you to work in the multiple disciplines of drawing, painting, printmaking, design             and photography with a theme you identify yourselves. You will create a body of work that reflects the             development of your individual ideas influenced by established practice. Success in this course qualifies           you for various Level 2 (Year 12) Visual Art courses.

How will this course be assessed?
A maximum of 26 credits are offered in this course. The 1.3 internal standard will be assessed in a        
workbook format and folio board 1. The 1.4 external standard is a 2-panel folio board.

Will there be any FAO? (Further Assessment Opportunities)
There will be no FAO in this course.

Are there any Pre-requisites for Level 2 Visual Art courses?
There are three Level 2 subject courses in the Visual Arts:
  • Level 2 PaintingMust have gained Achieved or better in the external folio AS90916 in Level 1 Visual Art or with TIC approval.
  • Level 2 DesignMust have gained Achieved or better in the external folio AS90916 in Level 1 Visual Art or with TIC approval.
  • Level 2 PhotographyMust have gained Level 1 Literacy and Achieved or better in the external folio AS90916 in Level 1 Visual Art or with TIC approval.

What are the course costs? $60.00 (Course materials, 'Art Pack' and $10 printing credit)
