What should I have already achieved?
An interest in financial information and how it used as a basis for decision making in the business world.
What will I learn?
Accounting examines how to communicate financial information to people who need the information to
make decisions. People rely on the information provided by accountants to make many decisions
including
  •         how much profit has my business made?
  •         should I buy shares in a company?
  •         can I afford to take a loan from the bank and expand my business?
  •         how much tax do I have to pay?
How will this course be assessed?
Learning in Accounting will be assessed through both internal and external achievement standards. The focus is on learning the skills that are needed to process financial information and prepare financial statements for a small entity.

There will be two opportunities for FAO's for in the internal assessments.
